Overview
A Web Developer is tasked with designing, developing, and optimizing web applications and websites. Often referred to as a front-end developer, they are responsible for what individuals see – the look and feel of a particular page or application.

As part of RTI, Web Developer apprentices generally receive instruction in:
- Introduction to Computer Science and Web Development
- Standard Development Practices and Tools
- HTML/CSS
- JavaScript
- MVC Design
- Agile Software Development
On-the-Job Training (OJT)
During OJT, Web Developer apprentices generally work on tasks substantially similar to the following:
- Project definition
- Web design
- Development and implementation
- Software testing
- Deployment and maintenance
