Overview
A Sourcing Recruiter focuses on the early stages of the candidate pipeline: sourcing, engagement, and qualification of candidates. They drive areas of candidate talent search and placement, along with process improvement and strategy development to identify and secure job opportunities within the organization. Sourcing recruiters also attract candidates and successfully place them in those jobs.
Related Technical Instruction (RTI)
As part of RTI, apprentices receive instruction in:
- Candidate Engagement, Generation, Assessment, and Life Cycle
- Boolean 101
- Resume review exercises
- Hire, Beamery, iCIMs, PACE guidelines, LinkedIn, Hiretual
- Practicing sourcing in internal tools and external job boards
On-the-Job Training (OJT)
During OJT, Sourcing Recruiters generally work on tasks substantially similar to the following:
- Understanding state regulations, standards, and law
- Advising candidates on pay, charge rates, and contractual conditions
- Maintaining current knowledge of EEO and ADA
- Sourcing and placing candidates in line with business goals and requirements
