The industry employs more than 175,000 individuals, with average wages hovering at $79,000 annually–20% higher than the national average. Arizona is also a hub for cybersecurity talent with a workforce of more than 15,000, several nationally recognized cybersecurity programs and multiple cyber warfare ranges.

Phoenix is one of the fastest growing cities for technology jobs as well as tech salary growth. Home to several start-ups, Phoenix is also ranked #1 for entrepreneurial growth.

The Greater Phoenix Chamber Foundation recently launched Apprenti Arizona to provide new pathways to individuals interested in IT and cybersecurity roles.  Apprenti Arizona is looking for motivated candidates to help fill the talent pipeline today. The Arizona Technology Council works to connect, empower, and engage technology companies across the state of Arizona through educational seminars, business legislative lobbying, and networking events.
