Assessment

A Key Step Toward Your Apprenticeship

The Apprenti Assessment is designed to evaluate your foundational skills and help determine your readiness for technical training and apprenticeship placement.

What the Assessment Covers

The assessment is made up of three sections:

Math: 61 questions
Estimated time: 2–3 hours
(Calculator allowed)
Critical Thinking: 41 questions
Estimated time: 45 minutes
Soft Skills: 14 questions
Estimated time: 15 minutes

You may take the sections in any order and save your progress to return later. The assessment is not proctored, but it must be completed independently without support.

Math

This section has approximately 60 questions and is expected to take 1.5-2.5 hours to complete.

Sample Test Question

Roger had a farm with a certain number of orange trees. He had to cut down 5 trees to control the insects. Each of the remaining trees produced 210 oranges, producing a total harvest of 41,790 oranges. How many trees did Roger’s farm have initially?

A. 194
B. 199
C. 204

Critical Thinking

This section has approximately 40 questions and is expected to take 40-60 minutes to complete.

Sample Test Question

“Photography is no longer an art form. Today, everyone has access to digital cameras that only need to be pointed at the subject in order to generate a perfect image.”

The writer of the argument apparently assumes that:

A. The selection of the subject is not an important artistic factor in photography
B. Digital cameras will continue to improve in quality
C. Digital cameras can never go wrong

This section has approximately 15 questions and is expected to take approximately 30 minutes to complete.

Scoring and Retakes

A minimum average score of 80% is required to qualify for apprenticeship opportunities.

You can retake each section up to three additional times.
Your highest scores from each section are averaged to determine your final result.

Timing and Application

Apprenti opens applications when we have hiring partners ready to bring on apprentices. You do not need to apply multiple times.
