The Apprenti application is the first step on your path to a fulfilling career in technology! The application includes a short questionnaire where you’ll share information about yourself, your desired occupation, and your location.
After applying, you’ll receive an email with instructions on how to complete the Apprenti Assessment. It’s an opportunity to demonstrate your competency in math, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills, and make sure you’re ready for the intensive Related Technical Instruction required for the apprenticeship.
If you’ve applied before, click here to access your current results and continue taking the assessment.
The multiple-choice assessment includes three sections:
You must score a minimum of 80% on the assessment to be considered for an apprenticeship opportunity. You can retake each section up to three additional times. Your highest scores for each section will be averaged to calculate your final score.
You can choose which section you want to start first. You also have the option to save your progress and come back later. The math, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills sections will take approximately 2-3 hours, 45 minutes, and 15 minutes to complete, respectively.
The assessment is not proctored; you must complete it on your own without any assistance or support resources. You may use a calculator for the math section.

Free Apprenti Assessment Preparation Resources
During their apprenticeship, successful apprentices learn how to access reputable sources of information to support their learning and growth. As you prepare to take the Apprenti Assessment, we encourage you to review these useful assessment preparation resources to learn more and/or refresh your memory before you begin.
After the Apprenti Assessment
After you complete the assessment, you will receive an email showing your score in the three assessment sections. If you achieve a combined score of 80 or above on the assessment, you are eligible to participate in the Apprenti program and may be invited to interview for an apprenticeship opportunity.
The opportunity to interview is based on several factors, including employer demand, your location, and your occupational interests. A composite score of 80 or above on the assessment does not guarantee an interview or apprenticeship opportunity–though we make every effort to find an apprenticeship for all qualified applicants!
If you don’t score 80% or above on the assessment, you can study and retake each section up to 3 more times. Your highest scores from each section are used to determine your composite score. Many applicants need to take the assessment more than once, so don’t be discouraged if your score isn’t what you hoped on your first attempt.More questions? Check out our Applicant FAQ page!
