Apprenti Veteran Services
You’ve developed valuable skills during your time in the service—from general leadership, time management, project and interdisciplinary team operations, to specific technical skills like IT, cybersecurity, communications, or logistics. The challenge is that, sometimes, the skills and experiences you gained in the military are hard to translate to civilian life. It’s even more difficult to know where to apply those skills and equally challenging for a hiring manager to understand how your skill set fits their needs.
Apprenti takes the guesswork out of your job search by helping Veterans access an accelerated career path in technology. Tech is a fast-growing industry, and our unique apprenticeship program puts individuals on a straightforward, step-by-step fast track toward their dream job. Working with Apprenti allows Veterans to qualify for and access the following military-provided education and training benefits.
Traditionally, GI Bill benefits have provided financial assistance for eligible service members to pay for college, boot camps, or other training programs. Apprenti has VA approval for our eligible apprentices to receive a Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH) during their months in On-the-Job Training (OJT). Eligible apprentices can enroll and claim monthly GI Bill Benefits with Apprenti during OJT.
Veteran Readiness and Employment
This program—also known as Chapter 31, VR&E, or Voc Rehab—helps Veterans with a service-connected disability explore employment options and address education or training needs. It is an excellent option for those who do not qualify for GI Bill or other benefits. Apprentices may be eligible for this benefit on a case-by-case basis. The DOD SkillBridge program is an opportunity for service members to gain valuable civilian work experience through specific industry training, apprenticeships, or internships during their last 180 days of service. With SkillBridge, approved participants can leave active duty ahead of their normal ETS (Expiration Term of Service) to participate in apprenticeship training, and still be paid as if they were on active duty (until your ETS). Services for Veterans with Disabilities
Medical conditions and disabilities, both visible and invisible, can create barriers to learning and working. The Apprenti Access Team helps apprentices identify and implement accommodations and provides equal access for all during the apprenticeship program.
